A heavily-pregnant woman was seen attacking a man on Thursday at Terminal 1 of Changi Airport.
Witnesses say that the man had just stepped out of the restricted area after collecting his luggage from a flight. As he walked toward the woman, she rushed forward, hitting him on the chest and stomach.
He appeared to fall from the force of the blows. Showing no mercy, she sat on him and proceeded to strangle him.
Many who were there to welcome their loved ones back at the airport proceeded to whip out their iphones to record videos for Stomp.
One of these onlookers, Mr Kua See Mi, said, “Seeing the commotion, airport security ran towards the couple. They took out their black batons, but when they saw that the attacker was heavily pregnant, they kept their batons.”
In a bizarre turn of events, the red-faced fallen man reportly waved away airport security who tried to intervene. With his few gasps, he said, “It's OK... I...deserve...it...”
“Then ah, the woman stopped all of a sudden,” said Mr Kua. “Maybe she realised he was really choking and she took pity on him.”
The couple is understood to be man and wife, but cannot be named to protect the unborn child's identity.
Airport security then attempted to isolate the woman from the crowd. The video on Stomp shows that airport security finally managed to separate the couple.

The victim was then helped by a witness – with mouth-to-mouth resuscitation - if airport security had not intervened. The witness settled for a shoulder-rub instead. The video has been removed due to its disturbing nature. The witness, who wants to be known only as Mr PKC, said, “Aiyo, he very poor thing you know. Come back to Singapore after one year, then kena attack instead of welcome. So I give him shoulder-rub to relieve his stress lor... Why, you also want shoulder-rub, is it?” Mr PKC smiled coyly, flicking his wrist at this reporter, giving the impression that the wrist was perhaps broken.
Police investigations reveal that the woman is a teacher with the Ministry of Education. When contacted, an MOE spokesperson commented, “Disciplinary action has been undertaken and we are also counselling her.
"Given the teacher's current mental and emotional state, MOE has deemed it unsafe to place her among young charges in school. However, we recognise her potential as indicated by her CEP, so we are transferring her to MOE HQ where we can continue to develop her potential.”
Asked to clarify what CEP stands for, the spokesperson blushed and stammered, and refused to comment further.
The teacher's colleagues who were interviewed expressed surprise at the teacher's aggression, noting that she was known for her gentle disposition. A female colleague, who chose to remain anonymous, commented, “I think [the teacher] would rightfully fit into MOE HQ as a follow-up career. After all, that's where bullies and embezzlers are also sent to atone.”
The victim suffered no significant injuries. He has declined to press charges, shaking his head and repeating, “It's OK... I...deserve...it...”
