Recently I came across this term, "pushing up daisies". What in the world does it mean?
"Dead - very dead," hubby offered, so uncharacteristic of his non-literary, technological mind. "So dead that you become fertilisers for daisies."
Ah....right.
Not only was there a show on TV called pushing up daisies, there's even a song about it. Check it out:
Rescue
by Seabird
I'm pushing up daisies,
I wish they were roses
I feel like I'm drowning, but nobody knows it
I'm pushing up daisies,
I wish they were roses
I feel like I'm dying,
just want you to notice
Somehow the grave has captured me
Shown me the man I used to be
Just when I feel my breath is running out...
The earth moves and you find me
Alive but unworthy
Broken and empty, but you don't care
'Cause you are my rapture,
you are my Savior
When all my hope is gone,
I reach for you
You are my rescue
I'm swimming to safety,
but even with my best
If I don't see that rope soon,
this might be my last breath
Don't let me down
Can you hear me 'cause I am calling out
I'm underground,
would you pull me out?

Just the right words to echo my thoughts during this period of time, when I have double/triple duties at work. It's crazy. But I can say that although I sometimes feel like drowning, my Saviour has been faithful to give me enough strength, blessings and wisdom to sustain me the past 2 weeks. But just enough for each day. Just enough. Just to teach me that I can depend on Him . Just to teach me that I can trust Him only. Just to remind me that He is all I need.
Always be full of joy in the Lord. Always be glad because of the Lord! Rejoice in the Lord always. Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him! I will say it again: REJOICE! (Philippians 4:4 - various versions)
