If the earth were a golf ball

If the earth were a golf ball:

* The sun's diameter would be 15 feet (4.6 meters). That's enough volume to fill a whole school bus full of golf balls.
* The star, Betelguese, would have a diameter equivalent to the height of 6 Empire State Buildings. Its actual diameter is twice the earth's orbit around the sun. That's enough volume to fill the Superdome with golf balls, 3000 times over.
* The star, Canis Majoris, would have a diameter equivalent to the height of Mount Everest. That's 7 quadrillion earths. (1 quadrillion = 1000 trillion = 1 000, 000, 000, 000, 000 = 1015). That's enough volume to fill the entire state of Texas with golf balls, 22 inches (56 cm) deep.

How great is our God who created the whole earth, so tetragargunginomorous! “By the word of the Lord were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.” (Psalm 33:6) God didn't have to draw charts, do calculations and build prototypes before he finally made the real thing. He spoke them into being, and breathed them out! And it doesn't stop there. “But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love.” (v18)

Our big God, who created something so big beyond our comprehension, also created the tiniest detail about us:
Our DNA is a 3 billion character code:
* which, when stretched out, is 6 feet (1.8 meters) long.
* if you read one character per second, it would take you 95 years to read.

And then, the Star-Breather became our Sin-Bearer.
